Frequently asked questions
Depending on type and size of dog (Breed) we do allow them in certain vehicles. Let us know in advance so we can confirm if it's possible.
We all love our dogs, and having your family dog accompany you in the wedding car could be a special touch to your day. However we must look at the practicality when travelling in a hired car, especially luxury models. Not all wedding car suppliers permit them in their vehicles for a multitude of reasons, but here are just a few:
Some vehicles have very expensive fine leather or velour/cloth seats especially vintage and classic cars where damage to a seat trim may be hard to match today.
Dog behaviour can vary between each animal, and breed, there is a notable difference between a tiny hand held Chiwawa, and a large Alsatian or a lovely but slobbering bull dog. Dog claws can also damage fine seating.
Wedding cars are used by other couples and although the vehicles are cleaned in between we need to consider all customers, some who may be allergic to a pet hair even though that pet has travelled previously. The Chauffeur needs to be considered as allergies can also affect them.
This has to be taken into consideration especially when raining as dogs we all know like a good old shake off which could ruin the interior seats and roof headlining as well as leave the occupants a little damp !
These are usually more docile and calm Labradors, and are more likely to be accepted in some vehicles, especially as they are there to guide the sight impaired owner.
We have had Guide Dogs in wedding cars before and they have been an absolute dream of a passenger.
We must however consider the above in all cases. So, if taking your canine companion with you is something you are considering then please ask us first and we will be able to guide you as to which cars may be more likely to accept your furry friend to travel with you.
