Frequently asked questions
YES - We need to ensure there is sufficient space so there are no issues on the day.
Yes, we do need to know if you wish to transport anything other than persons as we first need to decide if the car you have chosen has enough space for these other items as we do not want the car to turn up on the day and find there is no space for your luggage, wheelchair etc.
If you are just bringing a small overnight bag then this does not need to be advised but suitcases, wheelchairs and other bulky items do need to be advised.
Some vintage and classic vehicles have very restricted small boot space.
Sadly when the Routemaster buses were designed they did not have wheelchair users in mind. Although there is a large open platform at the rear of the bus there is also a pole in the middle blocking a wheelchair to access the bus. With help from the conductor and a wedding guest people with less mobility restriction can access the bus but bear in mind there is a high step to negotiate, a folded wheelchair can then be brought onto the bus. Please note there are no luggage compartments in the red double decker buses so the folded wheelchair will need to be stored on the lower deck of the bus next to other passengers and may take up some seating space.
