Can we pay extra if we need more time on the day

Last update on 15 Dec 2024

Quick answer

YES - However extensions requested "on the day" cannot be guaranteed,  if your timings overrun a little your chauffeur will always try to accommodate, but this must never be taken as a guarantee.

The quote you received and amount paid was based on the hours requested at the time of booking, however we do understand that on some occasions planned wedding timings on the day can over run for a variety of reasons so your driver will try to be as flexible as possible, however any extension to the original agreed hire time paid for will be subject to the particular drivers decision on the day based on the amount of extension time required. We do advise that sufficient hire time is requested at the booking stage or amended and paid before the hire day to cover possible timing issues as this will usually be less cost than paying additional on the day and will guarantee the extra time required is indeed possible.  See Terms & Conditions 3F.

Naturally if the hire time is extended there would be additional costs, dependent on the vehicle in question we base these on an hourly rate payable in 30 minute blocks.   We would suggest that perhaps the best man is given a small cash float for possible eventualities on the day not necessarily just about the wedding car, then if the day does need to be extended the best man will be able to pay the chauffeur without having to trouble the Bride or Groom on their special day.  Additional payments must be made in cash to the chauffeur on the day prior to the original end of hire time expiring in order to extend the hire.

Note:  The hourly rate varies by vehicle type, payable in 30 minute blocks.  Cost of extention can be found on your itinerary confirmation.
